Aloha! E Komo Mai!

That's "Welcome! Come On In!" in Hawaiian
Visiting Maui?  Then come see us, too!
It’s a beautiful drive from wherever you’re staying in Maui.
(see map below)

Haiku Marketplace signHaiku Marketplace used to be an old pineapple cannery. Today, shops in front include Colleen’s Restaurant, a Postal Shop, Haiku Pharmacy, The Haleakala Bike Company (you congregate at the market place in the morning, they drive you to the top of Haleakala and you coast down the mountain streets back to Haiku), Haiku Laundromat, Haiku Pharmacy, Haiku Medical Clinic and The Studio (an art and cultural center). Inside the building, we have the Hope Chapel and Maui Jui Jitsu. During the day, Smokin’ Island Tacos serves some really good fish tacos at a stand at the parking lot. Across the street is Fukishima’s Grocery store, famous all over Maui for their delicious $1.00 hot dogs.

Other shops in the cannery include The Club Haiku Beauty Salon, The Spa Luna Holistic School for Massage Therapists (good place to get a massage), Pacific Biotech (small company researching Hawaii”s Noni fruit as a possible cure for cancer), Pacific Island Art and Cards, us (Kopa Haiku) and our closest neighbor Naish Sailing (they design and market surfboards, wind sailing boards and paddle boards; Robbie Naish is world famous for his windsailing skills).

Kopa Haiku doorSo we have a nice, eclectic and very interesting set of businesses here, not exactly set up for tourists, but full of local color and very representative of small businesses -Maui style. So come visit us. We’ll be happy to take a break from our factory chores and “talk story”.

We’re usually here from 8:30 AM to 5:00PM on week days. It would be best to call and make an appointment ahead of time for weekends and holidays since most of us will likely be at the beach or in, on or under the water on weekends. (call 808 575 5435 or email info@kopahaiku.com)
