Introduction to the Scents of Paradise
Many Hawaiian plants from which we derive the fragrances for our soaps and lotions have their origins in other parts of the world. Due to our climate and the fertility of our land, many plants that found their way here do so much better here that they are mistakenly identified as being native to Hawaii. As our beautiful mixture of people, Hawaii’s flora is a rainbow of some of the most beautiful and exotic plants on earth that somehow found their way to these islands. Hawaii is a beautiful place to live, whether you are an orchid or a human being. Hawaii attracts and grows beautiful people and beautiful fragrant plants and, in some enchanting way, living here makes us more conscious of our responsibility to protect our environment and the natural beauty that surrounds us. Hawaii is a figurative as well as a physical collection of many of the good things that nature has given the world. Enjoying the scents of Hawaii is tantamount to enjoying the most beautiful scents nature has produced. One of Kopa Haiku’s missions is to capture the world’s best fragrances now native to Hawaii and put them into our products -- cream soaps, body lotions, body washes, massage oils, skin care creams, aroma mists, and gift sets -- so that you can appreciate, enjoy and remember this paradise. |
